A car service in Edmonton
built by mechanics,
not marketers

Fast Car Service started as a two-lift garage off 118 Ave. Twelve years later we're eight bays strong — and we still write estimates a person can actually read.

Our story

From two lifts and a space heater to a full-service shop

The short version: we got tired of watching customers get billed for parts their cars didn't need. So we opened our own place and made the photo report mandatory.

The original two bays
2013
Two lifts, one toolbox, zero customers

Dmytro and Oleg rented a cold bay on 118 Ave. First month they serviced friends' cars for parts money and ate a lot of gas-station sandwiches.

2015
The photo-report rule

A customer asked "how do I know it was actually worn?" Fair question. Since that day, every estimate here ships with photos of the old part.

2018
Grew to six bays + alignment rack

Word of mouth filled the schedule, so we knocked through the wall and added the 3D alignment rack we'd been dreaming about.

2021
Clean room for engine & transmission work

Aggregate jobs stopped competing with oil changes. Marc got his glass-walled rebuild room and hasn't stopped smiling since.

Today
8 bays, 9 people, same rule

Show the problem, price it honestly, fix it once. Everything else — the scanners, the rack, the espresso machine — is just equipment.

How we work

The traffic-light rule we run the shop by

Every inspection ends with the same three-colour verdict. It's how we keep recommendations honest — yours to read, ours to stand behind.

Red

Fix now. Safety-related or actively damaging the car. We show you exactly why on the photo report.

Yellow

Plan for it. Worn but safe for a few thousand kilometres. We write the km estimate, you budget it in.

Green

Leave it alone. Looks fine, measures fine. We will not sell you a replacement for a green part.

If we wouldn't put the part on our own car, we don't quote it for yours.

Standards

What "done right" means on paper

Certificates on the wall are nice. These are the ones that actually change how your car gets fixed.

Red Seal certified

Our leads carry Red Seal endorsements — the national standard for automotive techs in Canada.

Dealer-level diagnostics

OEM software subscriptions for VW Group, BMW, Ford, GM, Toyota, Honda and Hyundai/Kia.

Warranty-safe service

Factory schedules, OEM-spec fluids, stamped service records — your warranty stays valid.

24-month warranty

Parts and labour, in writing on every invoice. If it fails early, we fix it on our dime.

About us

Things people ask before trusting us with the keys

Neither. We're an independent shop owned by the people who work here. No sales quotas, no brand to protect — just repair orders to stand behind.

The lounge window looks straight into the bays. For insurance reasons you can't walk the floor alone, but ask and a tech will show you your car on the lift.

We see everything from Civics to G-Wagens. Japanese and domestic daily drivers are most of the book; European cars get OEM-level diagnostics too.

You bring it back, we re-diagnose it, and if it's our part or our work — it's fixed free. The 24-month warranty is printed on every invoice.
